	We started 2024 sailing in late 2023, with Helen and Neil going to Milvina in the Marquesas, doing work on her and then cruising the Marquesan and Gambier archipelagos. Milvina has been in the Marquesas since March, with plans to sail to Canada in 2025 More at the 2024 main page (Double click any photo for full size photos and return with back button).
	Most of 2024 saw us at home on the BC coast, taking short trips around the area, enjoying visits from friends, ranging from our 3 year old granddaughter to an old Danish friend we had not seen in a dozen years. Main event was the birth of Alec to Claire and Michael. We also had a trip to the Rockies and one to Montreal for Helen to have knee replacement surgery.
	Claire gave birth to Alec in March. She is now on maternity leave from nursing, with plans to resume part-time work in early 2025, continuing her work mostly with addiction issues and their related health problems in the population around Courtenay/Comox. Michael is still practising law there.
	Derek and his wife Becca are both teaching in Courtenay, upgrading their house, and hiking a lot. Derek's team won the provincial rugby championship in their league, and Derek continues to coach a very successful school team.
